(More customer reviews)This island is fairly sturdy and attractive EXCEPT for the horrible "distressed" finish on the oak top. They add chips, stains, and "worm holes". The chips and stains are subtle, but the worm holes are the worst. They don't look natural at all. There are about 8 uniform patches of 30-40 1/8 deep holes. If you want a clean look, don't buy it. If you want an aged antiqued look, don't buy it because it looks totally fake and cheap. The worst part is that there is no mention of this "distressed" finish in the product description. It's a shame, cause the rest of the island is pretty attractive.
