(More customer reviews)I am a professional musician and I spend many hours a day at the piano, and my old bench finally wore out, so I thought I'd try this one. It arrived quickly and was easy to put together. There are two small problems for me, which may or may not be problems for other buyers, but are really not a big deal for me. First of all, the bench has a definite moth ball odor to it. This has dissipated a lot in the first couple of weeks, but I can still smell it. It's not enough to give a person a headache, but if you're sensitive to that smell, you may want to put the bench outside or in a shed somewhere where it can air out before you put it in your house. Second, I am on the tall side for a woman (5'8"), and the bench is adjusted as low as possible, and it's just the right height for me. However, if I have a student that sits up taller than I do, he or she can't lower the bench enough for their comfort. I would say if you are 6 feet tall or taller, this bench may not be the right fit for you, especially if you sit up very tall. Other than those two things, it's a fantastic bench and a great deal at the price! It fits well in my home and matches my walnut-finish piano perfectly. I would definitely purchase the bench again.
