(More customer reviews)My latest stray has the most sensitive stomach I've ever seen. In fact, I'm sure she would have starved to death had she been on the streets much longer. She will sometimes go days without eating a full meal, just picking at her food and I've learned what that means-vomiting and diarrhea can't be far behind.
My vet says she has "garbage gut" caused by her living off of garbage while she was on the streets. She's been treated with prescription probiotics and antibiotics which helped but as soon as she went off of the drugs the problem can back. Rather than keep her on antibiotics long term, I decided to try Proviable DC (actually my vet recommended it to me).
At first I didn't see any difference so I tried increasing the dose from once a day to twice a day. This seemed to do the trick and the vomiting has stopped completely while the diarrhea has significantly improved.
Bottom line, I would get my pet checked out by a vet first because there could be something seriously wrong. But if your vet recommends probiotics or just gives you a diagnosis of sensitive stomach, then definately give this product a try.
