1) The two small holes were not drilled all the way through the plaque for the small screws that are installed first through the metal straps into the front of the plaque. I had to finish the job.
2) The two large holes in the plaque were not as large as they should have been to clear the two large screws that go through the back and into the metal straps. I had to finish the job.
3) I had a lot of trouble with the tiny velcro dots that are supposed to attach the skull cap to the plaque. The adhesive is weak. One of four skull caps has fallen loose on the wall.
4) Trimming the skull caps to clear the base of the horns is tricky.
5) The plaque is advertised as wood. It would be more truthful to advertise it as "wood-look."
In all, the antler mounts ended up looking pretty good for the money I paid for them
