(More customer reviews)The chairs were shipped in two separate packages in "ready to ship" boxes. We opened them and there were no screws nor were there instructions for how to put them together as assembly was required. I love Amazon and have always found them helpful and agreeable to rectifying the few minor problems I've had in the past so, we called Amazon for help with this and the only option was to package them back up and return them for replacement...with no guarantee that the other 'ready to ship' boxes actually contained the missing hardware or instructions. Really?!? Anyway, we put that option on hold and took a trip to the hardware store after figuring out the size & length of screws we needed. Upon return and successful completion of the assembly without instructions (ok, not rocket science but at least a diagram, something! Even 12 piece preschooler puzzles have a picture on the front of the box!, we called Amazon to request a refund of the express shipping costs...you know, just for our trouble and inconvenience at having to shop for the screws that were supposed to be included. Amazon easily complied. Also, right after we ordered two separate chairs, one could buy two of the chairs in a package deal

This left a bit of a bitter taste in my shopping cart's mouth after having been reasonable but not greedy when I asked Amazon to refund only the express shipping cost. I can't really blame Amazone completely for that one but I wish that the offer for the set had come up when I originally showed interest in the stool, especially, when I chose to purchase two. In the end, the chairs are ok but the incomplete packaging of the items which forced either a return or additional screw hunting on our part really took some of the enjoyment and positive rating out of the purchase.
