(More customer reviews)Not bad overall, but the so-called safety-hinge strikes me as a bit of a safety hazard. The lid on top of the stool doesn't fully shut. If you have more than one child, one can have the finger in the gap when the other one steps on it. Also, there is something about the combination of toddlers and cheaply made things with strong spring loading that makes me uneasy.
Leave the safety-hinge out and it is a fine step stool. When in doubt, screw the lid shut. What am I supposed to store in there anyway? Jewelery? Toilet brush? Snacks?
