(More customer reviews)Now that our baby boy is about to start crawling, we've decided to get rid of our expensive glass coffee table with jagged metal legs. After toying with not having a coffee table, dinner tables/trays, and a couple other ottomans from costco and the like, we found this. In general, it does what we need it to for now: it allows us to eat at the couch when our boy is playing on the ground, put our feet up after chasing him around, has storage for his living room toys and a few of ours, and is much softer than our previous glass/metal coffee table (the corners are still rather hard mind you). However, it falls shorts of all our expectations. For example, it is not as light of a brown as the picture. It's darker than espresso imo, and you only see a tinge of brown when it bright out with the blinds open. The trays on the reverse of the cushions are indeed completely black, but not an issue since the vinyl is such a dark brown (light black?) that it blends right in. Also, there are no solid "walls" on the side other than the vinyl and framing. What I mean is, if you were to kick it hard enough on the side, you would poke through the vinyl as there's nothing behind it. But in the end, we couldn't resist the price and when you consider that this will probably see some toddler abuse, we won't be too upset when it's time to replace it.
